Me thinks will never get Zen cart to work !

After 4 weeks got Zen cart working fine September 2007
then decided to go to SSL another 4 weeks great finnally got going testing mail and payments. October/November 2007
Zen cart up grade could not put patches in to finish upgrade so to save time I deleted work and forgot to save the Text, and for the 14th time loaded Zen cart new up-grade. December 2007
Manage to make the ssl to work and every thing else.
The only thing could not get to work is the Define Pages Editor for: english
When I open the page to write to this is written above page with the save button not on page.
Error: I can not write to this file. Please set the right user permissions on: /home/users/v0917550/public_html/f1jc/includes/languages/english/html_includes/classic/define_conditions.php

Gone into cpannel changed permissions read, write, exicute, to 666 766 777 444 744 and tried many other combinations with no luck.

Can any one help ?

Go to Admin->Tools->Template Selection
Then let us know which template is being used.

It is Classic Contemporary Green classic
The new one
Averthing else seems to work except define pages editor
click on tools, define pages editor, plan text or html either get same results after defining any pages. ie define_page_3.php
get a warning

Go into cpannel vendio change permissions ? tried many combinations none seem to work.

On the page its self at bottom there is only one button called Back.

On the previous version of Zen cart there was a save, reset and back button.

John, for security reasons you do not need to post 'full' paths.

includes/languages/english/html_includes/classic/define_page_3.php
- on just the 'define_page_3.php' file make permissions 777

Doing that for any 'define_' page should allow you to Edit it through the Admin section. If not, then download the file, make the edits on your computer and upload it. If the changes you made don't show up, let us know.

All things being equal issue seems to of gone and it seems to be working fine thank you for every ones help JohnC

It seems to working working fine now after altering permissions.
Possible time needed after writing to fed over the internet and deleting of cookies and temp files and help from other Zen cart members Thank you JohnC
