    Default Email Address Exporter (slight problem)

    Orginally I thought this didn't work wtih 138 but I have tested the latest Email Address Exporter to a "vanilla" ZC 1.38 and it works. However the 1.38 I am using is with custom templates, addons..etc. So when I run the exporter, it will take 50+ seconds before it loads the screen. Funny thing is that it still works. So what is causing this huge delay? I have been using this mod in 1.37.1 and it worked flawlessly.

    You said it slowed down after adding addons.

    So, that begs the questions:
    - Which addons?
    - Did you test between adding addons, to determine which one might have caused it to break?

    The Exporter module basically just opens a connection to the database and exports data. Nothing elaborate.
    If you've got addons that change the application_top load process or the related initSystem files etc, then perhaps those addons are causing excess processing to be done before the page can load.

    You'll have to pare down your system to find the cause.

    I didn't mean that it happened "after" the addons. I just meant that it wasn't working with the ZC that contains addons. But please note that my 1.37.1 had the same and more addons but email exporter still worked. This is why I am puzzled to find it doesn't work as the 1.38 upgrade shouldn't have effected this contribution.

    Nothing was changed in the application_top in terms of mods. I will have to go the long route and trial N error this.....

    *note* after some testing I found that "sometimes" it will not load completely. I will see the page with the dropdown box to choose the file format and thats it. The rest of the page would be blank....weird...

    The problem is bigger than I thought.....After researching some more, I found that anything to do with "emails" will cause the page not load and thus will time-out.

    For example, If I goto admin/tools/send email, it will hang....If I am in admin/customers and click the email button to the right, it will hang....I have not changed the mail.php in any shape or form and I have compared the fresh 1.38 db of customer's email and my upgraded db and it is exactly the same...

    so it is a mystery to me.....

    Ok, after some more testing, I replaced the whole admin folder with a fresh 1.38 just to see if some of my admin mods may have caused this problem and then I edited the configure.php to point to my db and to my surprise, it still didn't work...So now I know for sure it is something to do with the db....

    So then I took my 1.3.7.1 db and imported it over the "patched" 1.3.8. Now I am running 1.3.8 cart with a 1.3.7.1 db and I tried the send email function again and BAM!! it works and the email exporter works as well. So I am guessing when I run the db upgrade from the zc_install, it somehow misconfigure the email part which is too deep for my knowledge to fix so if you Dr. Byte can help, I would appreciated.

    glad I found the cause though.....

    Using phpMyAdmin, please check your v1.3.8 database: how many records do you have in the query_builder table?
    What are the query_id numbers assigned to them? Are any of them "0"?

    I have 7 records total, ID from 1 to 7. No zero.

    What happens if you go to Admin->Configuration->Email Options->Audience-Select Count Display, and set it to False?

    After some testing, I emptied out the whole customers list and "bam" everything started working again....

    But of course this is not an option as I need the customers list so I need to find out why....something might of gotten corrupted during the upgrade, i dunno....
