I have the same problem & no it doesn't matter whether there is a discount or not:


Sub-Total: $359.98


Table Rate (15.00lbs) (Best Way): $25.00


5.0% GST#85990 7784 RT 0001: $7.50


8.0% PST (Ontario): $12.00


5.0% GST on shipping: $1.25


8.0% PST (shipping): $2.00


Grand Total $435.03

GRAND TOTAL IS LISTED AS $435.03 but adds up to $407.73....
GST should be $17.99 or $18.00
PST should be $28.79 or $28.80

GRAND TOTAL NUMBER IS CORRECT, BUT THE GST & PST NUMBERS SHOWN ARE INCORRECT. IT IS CALCULATING IT PROPERLY IT'S JUST NOT SHOWING IT PROPERLY.

SHIPPING GST & PST IS CALCULATED CORRECTLY!!

Why is my system charging PST for Shipping?
Shouldn't it only be GST on shipping?

This is also curious, but I don't know if it is related to Jennie's issue. In your case, the grand total is still OK but hers is not.

Can you describe to me the order that gave these numbers? How many items, what were their values... were they priced by attribute... things like that. The more detail the better. Also, are you running any other mods? Does the tax total come out OK when you turn off the split tax lines mod?

That depends on how you have your tax rates set up, and doesn't have anything to do with this mod. I'm not a tax accountant but I'm under the impression that in Ontario you do have to charge PST on shipping. Here's a good thread (link) on setting up taxes for Canada. Maybe someone there will have a better answer for you...

Yes I think if you remove the split taxes, it will show & calculate all correctly.

This is a good start, thanks. Based on the numbers you gave, it seems that taxes are being calculated on all products and the total is correct, but for some reason the tax lines are only showing tax on the first product ($150*0.05 = 7.50 and $150*0.08 = 12.00)

I'll try to find some time to find the root cause of this issue but I'm a little swamped with other work at the moment.

Good job!! I didn't even think of breaking them down like that to figure out where those numbers came from.

You mentioned that you are using a template from template monster. Can you check to see if there is any overlap between the SplitTaxLines files and the template files? Maybe there is something not quite right about the way that the two have been integrated.

Has anyone else experienced a similar thing, where the grand total is OK but the tax lines shown are incorrect?
