Discount groups plus additional discount

I was wondering if this has ever been fixed:

It is the closet post I can find that is similar to a problem we are facing.

We have two separate groups setup for discounts 1) Wholesale at 50% off retail 2) 20% off retail for the other group. Everything is cool so far.

Now we run monthly specials each month and there are usually two different conditions. 1) We will make a product 70% off retail and usually some other item an additional 10%off retail.

Now here in lies the problem. When a wholesale customer is logged in, they see 50% off an item (say retail is 14.99) and it shows to be on sale for 70% off retail which would make it $4.49. However at checkout it is taking into consideration that the customer is in the wholesale group and giving them an additional 50% of (because they are in the wholesale group) after the 70% item discount.

Has anyone figured out this problem, or are we the problem (go easy now I know I set myself up).

The only way we found to fix the problem is to adjust the prices of the product ahead of time (say increase the above example to $19.98) and then apply the discount so the sale price shows correctly as well as the receipt upon checkout.

Also when using sale maker we have used the following:

To create an item for 55% off and you are a wholesale customer we set the salemaker discount for 10%. I know the math does not seem right.

here is the rest (if anyone is interested. Again it is based on a 50% customer only. If you have a different configuration, you will have to re-figure them back out).

It's not really something to be "fixed." These systems all operate independently. If you need them to be aware of each other, you'd need to make customizations.
