    Default Out Of Memory

Never seen this before, but today I had a couple of Out Of Memory errors while working in admin section.

    It looked something like:
Out of memory (Needed 1677600 bytes) followed by the query.

Can someone explain exactly what is causing this? Does this query
ask for 1.6 megs of data? Is this a "heavy load" query?

    thanks

Yes, it helps. Does that code suggestion make sense? If so, any reason it was not implemented in 1.3.8?

    thanks

Yes, it's safe to use with v1.3.8.

As I'm interested in the answer as well, allow me to rephrase the question.

Is the code suggestion/fix as outline in the previously mentioned thread:
    http://www.zen-cart.com/forum/showthread.php?t=79408

already included within Zen Cart 1.3.8?

If no, will it be in a future release?

No, it's not in v1.3.8, but is safe to make the change in your site if you desire.
It will be in v1.4, as indicated in that thread's title.

    Thanks for the clarification.

As to the original problem by notset4life. Sounds like PHP is being run as CGI. If that is correct and you already have a 'php.ini' file in your Document Root dir., then add this line:

    php_admin_value memory_limit = 8M

Default is normally 8 MB anyway for Servers so your Hoster should not be upset with you using that setting.

And if you don't already have a 'php.ini' file, you can create one with the above line and place it in the same dir. as the Home page for your site.

I would say the [Done v1.4.0] note in front of the title indicates that it is not already included in v1.3.8.

    Oops nevermind... stale window...
