Default Can't get rid of "Out of Stock" icon on product listings

I just started a store. I added a couple categories and a few products. I made sure every product was marked "in stock" and with a positive number of "items on hand". All seems to be in order in the back end. Yet every product displays the red "sold out" icon on the front end. If anyone could help solve this problem it would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Hold down the ctrl key and click the refresh key and see if that changes it.

I tried the suggested control key - refresh on the front end and it had no effect. Or did you mean to some how do it on the back end?

That was the control key I was talking about, on the front end. Sorry, I thought that would have worked.

Ok, so the next thing to check is the template folder. or it could be elsewhere, but I'm thinking you have a document in there looking for that image. If you know the name of the image you can use the developers tool in admin to find the files that referance that image.

It's in the tools menu of your admin.

I am a little confused when you say 'products on hand'. Are you sure there is a number in your 'Products Quantity' box?

red flag Re: Can't get rid of "Out of Stock" icon on product listings

I have the same problem. One product showing and it states it is out of stock or STOCK = 0 when there is plenty of product in stock. How do I set the IN STOCK feature on the product and the quantity of shirts available?

    Please advise...

Hi guys, I'm not sure if you guys still need help with this but i had the same problem, and judging from the number of posts i've read it seems to be a common issue and I think its due to the ambiguous nature of the Line "Product is Virtual" when populating your product, i left this option to "yes" and couldn't get rid of the "Sold out" icon as soon as i changed this option to "no" everything was fine, the reason for my initial choice was because these items were services instead of actual items, but when thinking like a computer i realised that Virtual is something that is not real and therefore no matter how much stock you entered it still read it as "0" because the items were not real (sorry for the long winded solution but thought others would be thinking as i was, and might instigate a "fix" for the ambiguity)

Any way i hope this helps
