Error in Step 3 of Checkout...

Hi there. Suddenly getting an error in checkout. Not sure where to start looking. Would appreciate any advice.

The error message is as follows:

Object of class queryFactoryResult could not be converted to string in /hsphere/local/home/crankyji/weecarediapercompany.com/weecart/includes/functions/functions_general.php on line 660

Have you added any contribs recently or has your host made any changes?

What payment shipping and payemnt modules are you using? What version of Zen Cart?

Thanks for the reply.

No, no new contributions.

We're using Check/Money Order, Paypal IPN and Credit Card via Worldpay. The version of Zencart is 1.3.6.

A bit more history. This was working properly with our old host. Unfortunately, our old host rarely worked. :) So, we moved to a new host.

Some differences from the old host to new host:

New Host:
mySql: 4.1.21
PHP: 5.2.0

Old Host:
mySql: 4.1.21
PHP: 4.4.4

The last change I have made recently to try to eliminate this problem was to change the _session code as advised in this forum. This has unfortunately, made no difference. The same issue exists. I've tried to move from file based sessions to db stored sessions. No difference.

I'm not certain what to try next. When it tries to render the code for step 3, I see it's failing when it attempts to write the <form> information. I just don't know where to even try looking next.

Have you tried reuploading a clean copy of the functions_general file?

Just tried your suggestion. No luck

In addition, I have just spent the last hour using winmerge on a downloaded copy of my site from my old host compared to the latest version of the site on my new host.

Aside from a few text message changes, they're IDENTICAL.

So, I did the same thing with a sql dump from both hosts. Once again, except for session ids and other transient things, they're IDENTICAL.

I am at a loss.

I wonder if the different PHP version could be causing something. I wish there was a way to debug this. I would like to see what value is actually being passed to the zen_not_null function.

Looking at the function, it looks like it's expecting either an array or a string. Perhaps it's getting neither, but the way the function is written, it makes assumptions which may not be true.

And this should be applied to both sessions.php function files in the:
/includes/functions
/admin/includes/functions

See if this makes a difference for you ...
