Default Very Basic Question about Installation Directory

I have Dreamweaver and I want to use it to upload the files in the unzipped "zen-cart-v1.3.8-full-fileset-11302007" folder. However I don't want to use such a cumbersome folder name. When I go to change the folder name Dreamweaver asks me if I want to update all the links in the files. Should I answer yes or no?

    Thanks,

    AQ

    NO. NO. NO.

Never let DW update links in your files when using dynamic systems run by PHP or other scripting languages. In most cases it will hard-code certain paths and/or fudge things up ... because it's assuming you're *not* working with dynamic scripts.

Additionally, while DW is great for editing and has a handy/cool file manager tool, I seldom trust it to do mass uploads or downloads. I find it somewhat unreliable for large jobs. A couple files at a time is fine, but large jobs often end up with incomplete files.

Thanks, DrByte. I have an old copy of WS_FTP95 LE. Would that be better for uploading files. If not, what program would you recommend. I'm using Windows XP Pro.

You can download and use FileZilla for free. It would be much better.

Thanks, I did have a look at FileZilla I while back but after installing it I found it somewhat confusing compared to WS_FTP95 LE. Perhaps, I'll have another look at it.

WinSCP is another great open source SFTP/FTP program to try. I like filezilla but have issues with really large transfers.
