Large gap between header and main_page.php

There is a huge space between my header.php and main_page.php section. Is there a way to close this gap?

Looks like you have a height defined for the logo wrapper - check the dimensions in your languages/english/header.php

Do you mean that the graphics are too big? How do I compress? I've never done that before. So new. So very new...
