Page Titles ?

Where is the Page Title for category pages created? Where are the pages located? and are these initially created from the Catagory name during creation?

Yes when you gave a name to a category or a product name when your first create it.

Edit the category and change its name.
Catalog > Categories/Products > navigate to the listing with your category and click the "e" button on the right.

Actually I tried that, didn't change page title. I recall doing it a few months ago, but can't remember file location. I am looking at a category page now where page title and category name does not match.

Ok, what exactly do you mean by "page title"? So we are talking about the same thing.

Properties of your page. The title search engines pull. If you google your site and run properties on your current page, you will see title that search engine sees. Not neccessarily same as the category page name (not in my case anyway).

You can edit metatags for categories or products, starting from the same listing where you select to edit the category/product. Not sure if this will affect exactly what you want, but ought to be done anyway to optimize your metatags.
