Install v1.3.8 error: freezes on saveBBBsettings

Everything on my fresh v 1.3.8 install was going smoothly, until I got to phpBB Setup. When I click on the Save phpBBSettings it just goes to a blank page. Oddly, when I use different browsers it ends up on a different command...

I'm installing on a Linux VPS with PHP 5 and MySQL 5. All of my install inspection tests came out good except for a minor warnings on PHP API Mode = cgi and PHP Output Buffering (gzip) = OFF, so it seems like the system was setup fine.

Any ideas?

I guess it was just an ftp transfer problem, sorry.
