    Default Domains Problem

    Hello

I need help with this situation:

I have a website with 2 languages (Portuguese and Spanish)

I have a domain that goes to the default language (Portuguese) and then the user select what language he want.

Now i buy a new domain for the Spanish language.

How can i put the Spanish domain goes directly to this page (index.php?language=es)

Well, you could point the extra domains to their own custom index.php page by going to the live shop, view source and the copy the source into a brand new page of each language.

Language #1 stays pointing to the present index page.

Language points to another page maybe named /language2/index.php?

This is how I plan to deal with my extra domain.

I really like how you can do this with Zen, unlike other carts.

It would not be as "search friendly", but you can also accomplish this with "domain forwarding" or "pointing" features with your domain name registration provider. For example, certain providers will give you an interface to "forward this domain" to a certain url. In this case, for the Spanish domain name only, you would specify the url complete with the language code at the end.

Could this maybe be because the browser is recognizing you as a returning customer who already previously specified that language? Sorry, I am not that familiar with the way the language selection switching works.
