Newsletter Signup Homepage

Am I able to have a newsletter sign up box on the homepage?

The customer can signup for the newsletter when he/she creates an account. I don't believe there's a separate newsletter sign up available since the information is stored in the database. I suppose you could somehow tweak the account creation to look like a simple newsletter signup, but it hardly seems worth the effort to me.
