Gift Certificate Balance?

Is there a way for a store owner to check the balance of a gift certificate a customer has? I could just subtract the amount of their order from the amount the certificate was for. However, if they didn't use the entire certificate amount or they made multiple orders using a portion of the certificate for each order, then it would be a hassle for the store owner to check each invoice.

I'm just looking for a straight forward way to check the balance of a customers gift certificate.

If you've upgraded to version 1.3.8 then you'll be able to see this in ADMIN/CUSTOMERS/CUSTOMERS. The list of customers has a column that now shows what their GV balance is.
