    Default Multi-site question

    Hi all!

I am wanting to put together a site where it would be a shopping mall of sorts.
Each vendor would be able to update their own products, upload their own images, etc. They would take care of their own payments (via paypal). Instead of using ZenCart buy now buttons there would be a "buy with Paypal" button that would take the customer directly to the vendor's paypal account. I would only make a small monthly fee rather than taking a percentage of the profits. In other words, I don't care how much each vendor generates in sales so long as I get my flat monthly fee.

Now, I know there isn't a multiple admin mod just yet, but I do know there is a multi-site mod.

I want to do a site similar to these:

    www.secretsistersgroup.com
    www.thewahmarket.com

Now, if you scroll to the bottom of those pages, you see which software powers the cart. There is no cart involved, however, and it would seem to me that in this case the software is being used more of a CMS/catalog than a shopping cart.

I do not wish to use that software. I love the ease of Zen, the awesome documentation for set up and the helpfulness here that doesn't exist with that other software. I mean, when you can't even mention the exact mod name that works for what on the software developer's forum, that speaks volumes to me as to the support you're gonna get. So kudos to all of you for running such a great ship here. :)

Is this that I want to do possible with Zen?

1st, those sites are using Cube Cart, and they do have a 3d party mod for vendors "Affiliate/Vendor" mod.
I wanted this for ZenCart but havent found any as of yet.
I was told it does exist, but most likely was a custom design.
I was again told that oscommerce had this feature and it could be ported to zen, but all I could find was a "multi sore", much like what has been done for ZC, allowing you to run multiple sites with 1 admin section.
I am going to beg for someone to make this mod .
Not sure exactly what is needed, but would seem to me that the Admin settings could be re worked to give rights to chosen areas (categories)
    Any Ideas ???
    Please and Thank You
    Andy

Yes, I know those are CubeCart sites. I can do CubeCart, it's just that I really like the ease of using Zen.

But I guess I don't have much of a choice here.

    Good luck to you. :)

Yes, I too know CC well, but as you say ZC has much more to offer and is STILL FREE, unlike CC who went from $0 to ~$100 for their v4.
I went as far as to post on some freelance boards to write a mod , all I got was scams
    any takers here?
