Hi i have a simlier problem, mine has never worked yet. It takes customer to the paypal site with my details everthing looks correct, but when payment is confirmed it jumps back to the zencart order page?

That's normal for the Express Checkout module. Customers go to PayPal's site, login to PayPal, choose their payment method, and come back to the store to confirm the actual correct payment amount. This lets them apply any coupons, receive any discounts, select shipping method, add order comments, etc.
