Database upgrades with custom tables added

Hey everyone,

Basically I would like to add a few custom tables for something i'm developing, but do not want the addition of those tables to cause database upgrade failure down the road. Will the added tables carry over to the upgraded database? etc...

I failed in trying to find an answer for this - is there something i missed?

So, to clarify: After upgrading, additional custom tables will still remain in the database, untouched. Correct?

Yes. I have mods like User Tracking, Search Log, etc that create custom tables and I've upgraded from 1.3.5 - 1.3.6 - 1.3.7 - 1.3.8 and the updater didn't touch those tables.
