I need telephone number required

If what you say is true Kim, and there is no reason to doubt otherwise, then it is a most curious situation indeed; when people can get around providing no input for a required field.

Perhaps people with this particular problem could also provide details on what ZC version they are using and, to their knowledge, when the problem started?

I'm having the same problem too, but not seeing the fix. I already have the minimum requirement set at 10, but it is still allowing customers to skip their phone number.

I too am having the same issue, and I THINK the orders don't come through. I have had a couple custs fill in all there contact info except DOB and Phone. I need both. The phone field is set to min 10. Then I had a cust contact me about their order, but there was no order. Told them to add phone and resubmit and it came through the second time. Does anyone have the fix?

I would like to add this to my last post. After writing the post, I went back and tried to bypass the DOB and phone. It errored like it should saying which missing fields were required. I tried in IE and Firefox browsers and both are working properly. So, I am still puzzled how I received all of the other custs info but they were able to bypass.

The best person to get an answer from would be the Customer who has mangaged to place an Order without providing the necessary information.

Same here. Custs bypass phone number. I have min set to 10. I have tried to test it from my system and it will not let me bypass even if I try using the spacebar. Anyone have any updated solution to try?

I too have had two customers place orders and no telephone number was recorded. Lo and behold, I had to contact BOTH!!! A little difficult to do without the phone number. One responded to email, the other I had to track down via web.

The most recent customer is positive she put it in because she ordered from Canada, and she needed the number on the package.

Does adding the dashes make a difference? I will do a few tests, but I wonder if that could be it....

I actually have the flip-side problem. I do NOT want the phone number to be required, have the minimum # of characters set to 0, but when you register on my site the phone # shows as required and won't let you bypass it. I was hoping that whatever you changed to make it required, I could change to make it not required.
