expanded category

Using Expanded Category 2. I would like to just show category, and 1st subcategory. I want all of the other subcategories to be hidden(collapsed).

Is there a way to do this?

Are you talking about the "Expanded Category List" contribution? Were you able to sucessfully download and extract all the files? The file seems to be corrupted as I have downloaded it twice and tried to extract using 3 different programs (windows extract, 7-zip and Winzip). Each give different error messages including one that says one of the language files requires a password.

Tacoma, this is easy to do. I don't have time to talk now, but I have posted about it before. You would add a couple of lines to tpl_categories.php. A search on $current_path may show you the thread.

I apologize folks. The problem extracting files appears to be human error on my part. I maintain copies of my contributions in a folder of my desktop. Since the Win XP desktop is not exactly at the top of of folder hierarchy I ran into trouble with extracting files several levels down. In otherwords, the total filename including paths was too long for WinXP to handle. The error messages in the unzip programs I used were very misleading, but when I extracted the files on another PC it was done closer to the top level and when copied to the contributions folder on the development machine, it coughed up an appropriate error message.
