    Default Sql ???

I was wondering if there's anyway that I could get a crash course on using SQL or where I can get some sort of step-by-step-hold-my-hand instructions. I mean, I'm trying to add a module to my install of Zen Cart and I aint got the foggiest about how to use SQL, giving commands, etc. I must have missed out on my SQL lessons when I went to kindy.

And dont flatter me by calling me a New Zenner... I'm not worthy of that title yet!

If you install a new module, it should have instruction inside readme file which you can easily follow without any sql knowledge.

It's good to learn though. And since mysql is open source and widely used, you can find tons of free docs out there, just google for it. Like "mysql tutorial" for example.
I no longer provide installation support on forum for all my modules. However, if there are real bugs with the modules please feel free to contact me

I know the instructions came with it, but I dont even know how to or where to run commands or anything... I've never seen SQL before. I'm looking at the one to set up multisite... and I aint got a clue about where to run theses commands.... I feel like I'm in a raging river and up to my nose and getting deeper.

    Go to Admin->Tools->Sql Patch

You can copy all the sql, paste in the box there, submit, done.

    So, what do I do...??
In this particular instance we have a directory called multisite_0.4.1 which has subdirectories ADD_FILES, etc.
I dont know which file to upload or instructions to run (and from where, etc).
What's my next step now I have SQL Query Executor open. ??
Thanks... (and dont go too far away)... sorry... Aussie arragogance!

    Let's see what you need...

Firstly, tell us what module you are trying to add to your installation of zencart.

Then we can walk you through the steps.

Please tell us the URL of your webshop so we can see if it's functioning.

Tell us the VERSION of zencart you installed.

Tell us if you know how to use FTP

Tell us if you have a console site management system like C-PANEL.

Do you know how to use phpMyAdmin (or what this means).

Do you manage your webshop through the zencart Admin console (or does someone else do this for you).

Give us as much background as you can and we'll take you through the process.
