Using Easy Populate - Documents - General

Hi,

I'm working on a site that both sells items as well as displays items belonging to the site owner in a 'gallery' per se. I'm doing this by listing them as 'Document-General'.

The problem I just found out is when I use Easy Populate to populate the 'gallery' it adds them as 'products'. So now when I look at the items in the 'Document-General' category they all have 'add this to cart' buttons and everything as if they were for sale.

I check the category in the admin section and it's clearly listed as 'Document-General' but when I click to edit the items populated by Easy Populate the 'products' page showing up with the products form, clearly not the 'documents' form page which is much shorter with many less options.

Also when I click on 'categories -> product types' and select 'Document-General' it is clearly set to 'not add to cart', etc.

Is there a way to use Easy Populate to 'fool' zencart into populating the Doc-General items w/o all the sale options?

Let me re-phrase that last post...

How do I remove the 'sold out' or 'add to cart' or 'contact us' links/buttons from items listed under a 'document-general' category?
