This question has been asked, heck, I've asked it, but it seems to have grown stale. So, in hopes of breathing new life into the subject, I'll ask again (and all you moderators, PLEASE dont fuss at me for this)

Has anyone given further thought to the problem of importing product data via XML?

It seems that more and more suppliers are beginning to include this method along side the usual CSV or TAB file downloads.

There must be something to this method, otherwise, why would so many vendors offer it?

I'm not a coder, I can't even port something from the other cart. So, I beg the question, can it be done?
