I just upgraded from 1.3.7 to 1.3.8a
1.3.7 and the one previous to that did not let me know of the upgrade.
I think it was 1.3.5 or 1.3.6 that had a busted piece in that version notification feature.
1.3.7 should have been fine.

I guess the best thing to do since this is a minor thing for me anyways, is to just wait till the next upgrade and see if it still does the same. If I ever get spare time I might do a fresh install of 1.3.7 and see if I might have messed something up with not getting the notification.
