I can't add products to my cart

I've installed the newest version 1.3.8. I have input all my credentials into the Paypal Express module and also have Pro turned on.

My products show but not the cart. What part am I missing? Have I something turned off that I've overlooked?

Uh - I don't see the add to cart button on the product page - how do you add to the cart to see the problem?

That is what I am not understanding. Why is that not showing up?

What do you have in the Admin> Configuration> My Store section for the Store Mode?

Store Status I have set to 0 for Normal

What is the name of your top level category?

That is where I was just now. Yes it is in the top level category. There is a check box in the product that says Add to Cart that you need to click.

I toggled that and now the add to cart button shows.

If I only have two products is it ok to use the top level?
