confused! still getting install request after installation

Hi,

I swear I've done this beforre, but I can't get it straight this time.

I downloaded a complete copy of my site to my local hard drive. I already have MAMP installed. I already have a database built in there, from previous use with Zen Cart. No brainer, right? I just copy all my downloaded files into MAMP's htdocs folder and go.

Nope! I got a "The requested URL /zc_install/index.php was not found on this server." error. I went around that a couple of times, then gave up and loaded in the full, fresh ZC file set and let it do the install. I figured I'd just make it happy, then I'd drop in my files, replacing what was there and MAMP would be happy, and I'd be happy.

Nope! Same result. "The requested URL /zc_install/index.php was not found on this server."

Why the heck is this error coming up? Every file in there is a working file from my regular server. And the database works, because it was used when I built this very site a few months ago.

Any idea what's going on?

Yes, and a very good grog it was. Appleton Estates 12-year old rum. Hmmmmmm.
