Free [stay on site] Payment module?

I'm a Zenoobie -- I just set up my store (www.kirkross.com/store) and I have only PayPal IPN installed right now.

Is there a [free] option to process credit cards on site -- i.e. without the customer being taken to PayPal (or elsewhere) to complete the transaction? If not free, then a percentage-per-transaction charge like PayPal IPN while remaining on the store site.

PayPal Pro offers that service as well as authorize.net (AIM) I think, but I there's a monthly fee which, sadly, exceeds my projected store income in the short term.

Unfortunately, there is not one that I am aware of. Only if you already have a CC merchant account with your bank and can process CC's like for a brick & mortar, then you could use the default CC module and have the # split with part in the order & the other in a mail and manually process them. Even then I think that most banks have a fee for the merchant account.

You cant expect such service to be free. And even if there is a free one, how are you gonna trust them? How are you gonna make them take the responsibility if something is to happen to your customers' info?
