I sell one-of-a-kind original paintings, and other various artworks. I am eventually going to have a huge inventory, and I need a special search engine for my zencart site.

I need a drill-down search capability that will remember and choose from the previous search, like ebay has. For instance:

antique/oil painting/landscape/southwestern/desert

or

watercolor/abstract/landscape/large

Right now, my categories are subject matter only, and I have a side-box search laid out that will pull up only ONE keyword. That's okay for only several hundred paintings to choose from, but when there are several thousand listed, that basic search won't do. I am considering completely eliminating any listing categories and just showing the search.

If I can get the basic programming for this type search engine, I will be able to modify the entries on my own -- I'm pretty good at copy/paste/change text as needed -- but I don't even know what to really call it, or where to start finding the basic programming. And, no, I don't know how to code it from scratch.

I am also assuming that an advanced search of this type will work in the zencart??
