item becomes free after cart total reaches X Amount

Hi,

i have a catagory in one of my stores entitled freegifts these have prices as you can purchase them without spending an X amount.

is there anyway for one of these items to become free when added to the cart if the customer allready has say over £15 in there cart.

any help would be great.
