    Default Not all sideboxes showing up

    Hi,

    I have exhaustively searched and read through these forums, but I don't know how to fix my problem. I have 5 sideboxes that I have set to show up in my left column. Here's a link to MY STORE Only 3 of the 5 are showing up. This is what the Layout Boxes Controller looks like:

    sideboxes/rmmb/manufacturers.php ON LEFT 5 20 OFF
    sideboxes/rmmb/whats_new.php ON LEFT 20 0 OFF
    sideboxes/rmmb/categories.php ON LEFT 30 10 OFF
    sideboxes/rmmb/search.php ON LEFT 50 0 OFF
    sideboxes/rmmb/specials.php ON LEFT 60 0 OFF

    Why can't i see the other 2?

    And the other question is: why does the search field show HEADER_SEACRH_DEFAULT_.... and the search button says "HEADER..."

    Argh! Please help!! Thanks in advance... FYI - I am a newbie to the whole coding thing, so please be gentle :)

    Some sideboxes are designed to show only if they have information in them - others only show on certain pages.

    Whenever you see WORDS_IN_CAPS it means you have missed uploading the language file that defines that constant.
    Please do not PM for support issues: a private solution doesn't benefit the community.

    Be careful with unsolicited advice via email or PM - Make sure the person you are talking to is a reliable source.

    Kim - thanks for replying -

    Makes sense about the empty sideboxes - I filled in the specials sidebox and it showed up, but I can't get the manufacturers sidebox to show up even though it has 1 manufacturer in it already...

    As far as your second answer I am not sure where to look for this language file - can you give me an idea? Thanks :)

    Compare the missing language file with your default language files.

    If you are missing a HEADER_SEARCH_DEFAULT then take it from your english folder and translate the viewable text and then place into your language folder(s) in the correct place.

    I use a Translator Widget on my Mac. So far no one has been offended.
    Cheers!

    I fixed it! It was a matter of uncommenting these lines from includes/languages/english/header.php:

    define('HEADER_SEARCH_BUTTON','Search');
    define('HEADER_SEARCH_DEFAULT_TEXT', 'Enter search keywords here');

    Thanks for all the help!

    The manufacturers box started showing up, too but I don't remember what I did to fix it
