    help question CSS Buttons - IE7 Issue

    Hi all,

    I'm running v1.3.7, and have installed the CSS Buttons contribution, along with many others.

    I'm having a problem where the text on some buttons are 'falling' to the bottom of the box. For example, please see the 'Search' and 'Add To Cart' buttons on the following page;

    http://www.gifts-thatlittleshop.co.u...products_id=19

    The support thread for the CSS Buttons is located below, but I can't find any answers / fixes;

    http://www.zen-cart.com/forum/showthread.php?t=19281

    Any ideas please? Cheers!

    Sometimes the problem is not really where you think it might be when it comes to exsnorer(sic). In this case, it may be wondering who came up with the new <H9> Don't think I've seen that one before

    BTW 7 & 8 are not valid either.

    That's probably the most bizarre thing I've ever seen! I've removed the <h9> tags, and now the buttons are back to normal!

    How strange!

    Thanks dbltoe :)

    <Kuroi coughs gently>

    Actually they are valid. They may not be part of HTML, but Zen Cart uses XHTML and the x stands for extensible. So as long as the tags are lower case and properly closed they are valid (I'm coming late to this so I didn't actually see them in this case).

    Whether IE will handle them properly or not - now that's a whole other question. In my experiments I find that Firefox doesn't bat an eyelid and accepts them and their styling as though they'd always been there, but browsers based on the IE engine seem to pretend that the tags aren't there (naughty, naughty).

    Thanks kuroi - basically with the h9 tags there, IE (and Opera) was pushing text downwards on some CSS buttons on my shop. I removed the h9 tags, and the buttons are showing correctly now.

    They were also H9 and unclosed. Even so I wasn't aware that we were fully xhtml as yet. Thanks for the heads up.

    Your last meta key is not closed. Give that a try.

    Unfortunately not - that meta tag was copy / pasted from Yahoo's site submit service. You'd think they'd close it!

    Any other ideas?

    Cheers!
