I'll try to explain myself.

Since I sell event tickets, I need a calendar (java or html) embedded in a sidebox that my customers can use to search out dates.

I can find many calendars, but I need to put links on certain days.

How about the event calendar mod? Fits quite nicely in a sidebox and lets you put events in specific dates.
