    Default Setting up AustPost

    Hi.

I'm trying to set up AustPost v2.0.1 on Zen Cart v1.3.7.1.

I have a product that weighs 150g, and the dimensions (2cm x 15cm x 20cm) 'cube' at about 0.15 Kg. I have entered the weight in the product as 0.15 and set AustPost for Kg.

    ZenCart's Checkout shows:
    Total Items: 1 Weight: 0.15kg Amount: $24.95

but postage (from Sydney to Perth) on checkout shows:
$18.35 Parcel Post - 4 days Estimated Delivery Time)
$21.05 Registered Parcel Post - 5 days Estimated Delivery Time)
$47.20 Express Parcel Post (1 days Estimated Delivery Time)

The above postage rates would be for a parcel between 3Kg to 4Kg
Postage should have been $4.00 for a 150 gram parcel.

    What am I doing wrong?

Is there any way to display the weight that AustPost has used?

    Thanks, Steve.

Check things like the handling fees.

I've set all handling fees to zero.

It's not just a wrong price, it's got the weight wrong.
The post charges are for a quite different weight parcel. 4Kg rather than 150g.

    Steve.

    G'day Foneguy

The incorrect weight is probably due to your tare weight settings (this is not a function of the AP module). By default, the Tare weight is set for "3", which in your case equates to 3kgs.

If you change this to something more appropriate you'll find you'll get a valid quote.

    Cheers

    Thanks Rod.

    That fixed it.
