Default Group Discount - Based on Retail Price

    Hi Guys,

    www.splay.co.uk

I wish to offer clubs a fixed percent off our website price.

Not for them to be able to get more discount when we have a sale or any products on speceials.

    Thanks in advance

    Vik

    Hey Vic,

You want to explore Group Pricing in the customer section of admin.

Another method is to offer a coupon to your clubs. But I think the group pricing is the best way to go.

    Hi,

i have attempted to do that, but with no luck.

    1. Made a group called Club - Discount set to say: 20%

But currently i have a sale for 10% on all items, but when i add a product to cart..the 'club' member seems to get 30% discount in total.

Having the same problem, have looked at Group Pricing per Item and dual pricing. Neither one seems to work properly, without painful changes (to newbies zen third party contributions could be painful).

Need a contribution that allows/disallows groups from taking advantage of Specials, Salemaker and any other "specials catagories" where groups get an additional discount on top of their set discount. Perhaps a radio button in Specials and other "special catagories" that turns off Group participation.

Example: When creating product specials, a radio button selection could be added to allow or dissaollow group participation, with the addtional software check statements through out Zen Cart. (keep it simple: Would not allow any group particiaption on specials, salemaker, or other "special catagories")

I'm not a programer, but believe checking whether a group has access to specials may be easy to implement. Any thoughts by experience programers?

Agree with last poster, the various discount options seems to really cause chaos, expecially for Group Discount people.

I'm new here in the forum and to Zen Cart. I did read in another thread how to do the discounts the way you're talking about in this thread. A module called Online Group Pricing or something like that.
BTW I tried Drupal with Ubercart first to do what is built into Zen Cart with the Group Discount. But that didn't work, so I tried another module for Drupal but apparently they took out that feature. 3rd I tried OS Commerce and to get a Group Discount feature required to much hacking of core code.
Lastly I checked out Zen Cart and found out the feature I've been looking for was built right in.
Looking forward to my new Zen experience.
