Shipping to Different Countries Based on Product (item).

I have products that can be shipped to some countries, and I have other products that can be shipped Worldwide.

Example:
I have a “widget 1” that I can sell to Canada, France, and USA, but I can’t sell the same “widget 1” to Mexico, India, and South America.
Example 2:
I have "widget 2" that can be sold WorldWide.


How do I assign a Product (item) an Attribute based on Ship to Country?

Ideally, I would prefer NOT to show customers Products they can’t purchase, but It would be ok, if can restrict customer from purchasing items that are not approved for their country.

You would need to do some custom coding for this ...

One idea is a database table with products_id and which countries it can be shipped to then test the cart against this and the shipping address ...

It takes some work but is doable ...
