Need to see if this can be done with Attributes

Ok I am setting up this site and it sells wheel and tire packages. This is my first time using ZenCart and it is great so far versus other expensive systems.

What I have is two attributes.

One for size and one for tires.

What I am trying to get done is where not all wheels are offered in all Sizes so I am adding the correct sizes for the particular product and I am wondering if I can link the tires to that size? an example

Wheel sizes are 17", 18", 19", 20", 22" and 24"
there are about 10 tires to choose from on each size including a no tires option.

One Wheel that the site is offering is only available in 18" and 20" and which there is 10 sizes of tires to select for each size.

Is there an easier way to add these tire sizes to the size attribute to where when someone is at the site and they select a wheel size, that it will load the tire size dropdown with the same sizes as the size attribute drop down?

so they select 18" and it loads all the 18" tire sizes. They select 20" and it loads the 20" tire sizes.

Unfortunately, dependent attributes are not currently available in Zen Cart.

What you could do is make the wheel type a subcategory, with each size a product under that. Then the size product can have the correct tire attributes.

The subcategory can have a full description and image, like the regular product info page would have, and you can strip down the "product listing" to show just the size (as product name) and a "more info" link.
