Default Uploading Large SQL files to phpMyAdmin

I'm in the process of doing a site upgrade and have reinstalled zencart on my localhost (Win XP) I have downloaded my existing sql database from my webhost which is approx 34M.

I have created the new database in phpmyadmin using the same file name as the existing database.

I have amened the permissable file sizes in the php config file within WinAmp, but I still get the error regarding the file that I am trying to upload is too large.

    Does anyone have any suggestions..????

We're now settled in at our final home - http://www.swiftbooks.co.uk - where you'll find an eclectic collection of used books. Still a lot of work to do, though!

When working locally or when I need access to large databases, I use the free SQLyog windows application, available at www.webyog.com

    Thanks guys,

Found out the error, was editing the wrong php config file, I edited the one in C:\Wamp\php instead of C:\Apache2\bin

Changing the values in the correct file really does help..

Thanks for the responses and will also check out the other options next time around

Fixing one problem gives rise to another.

The database uploaded ok (so it would appear), but when I go to //localhost/zencart, I get an error message "...seems to be a problem connecting to our database. Please give us a few minutes...... etc etc etc..

If I try and get into Admin I get another error message

    0 DB_ERROR_NOT_CONNECTED in [select * from project_version_key = Zen-Cart Database']

Is the DB_PREFIX the same in your local PC's configure.php files as it was on your server?
