define_main page stuck

I'm working on upgrading my site from Zen 1.2.4 to the latest version, so I more or less started from scratch on the template and copied the database over to a new site and went through the incremental upgrade process to get to 1.3.8 so I could get things going. All in all, it seems to have gone well, but now I'm trying things out and every link seems to go back to the define_main page instead of the product listing. It seems like I have something wrong in the configuration somewhere. Can someone take a look and tell me what I'm doing wrong?

For some reason your site is trying to resolve to:

http://mi.avantidevelopment.com/index.php/main_page/index/cPath/98

and the correct syntax is:

http://mi.avantidevelopment.com/index.php?main_page=index&cPath=98
