Thanks.![]()
Sorry for so many questions but I am so totally new at this and learning as I go, what do I do now? do I copy each file one by one to my hard drive and then do I upload them to just my custom folders? Thanks.![]()
First I would read the read_me.txt file over and intake as much as you can even if it doesn't all make sense yet.
Yes, you have to save each file one by one then upload them into the correct directory. In this case you don't put any files into your CUSTOM directories, just the directories that you see listed on that site. So start with copying to your admin directory the xsell_advanced.php file. Then goto admin/includes and you'll see more directories. In these directories are either files, or more directories; copy the files to the equivalent directory on your store. It is just important to put the files in the right directories the way you see them on that site that yellow1912 provided.
Also, you will need to create a directory called "js" in your root directory (this is the same directory that has the admin folder and includes folder in it --- so, not in those folders, but alongside those folders. Copy the file dynamic_input_field.js into the new "js" folder you just created.
Once you have put the files into the correct folders, the next step is to run the sql patch called alpha2_rev64.sql by logging into your admin area.
After you got all the files uploaded to your server, and you think it went good, get back to this forum, and someone will let you know how to apply the sql patch if you ask.

Just wanted to make sure, but you do all this copying for both the original and the advanced right?
The readme file should have explained everything, if there is no need to copy then I would not leave the files there.
