    Default Editing Welcome Text

I need someone to explain to me how to edit the welcome text on my zen cart.

Right now there is nothing in the middle of my shopping cart. I have tried editing the index.php file located at:

    zen/includes/languages/english

    This does not work.

Here is the link to my shopping cart

    www.riffstyle.com/zen

Please respond as I have been spending too much time looking up tutorials to get this fixed and getting nowhere doing so.

    Thanks

You should not be making changes to includes/languages/english.php. If you need to make changes to that file, you should copy it to includes/languages/YOUR_TEMPLATE/english.php and make your changes there.

That said, that's not the place you want to make the change.

I believe what you want to change is in includes/languages/english/YOUR_TEMPLATE/index.php

What's the name of your template? You need to create a folder in includes/languages/english with your template name and copy the index.php file into it.

For example if your template name is Fred, create includes/languages/english/Fred, copy index.php into it and make your changes there.

What template is that? Did you create it or buy it from a third party?

These FAQs might help explain the template system to you. However, if you have a third-party template, they might have deactivated some functionality.

Usually, that "empty" space is a defined file. Found in the admin panel under Tools --> Define Pages Editor. But again, if you're using a third party template.... YMMV.
