Cannot add new categories

The old zen cart I had never worked properly so I decided to install the new 1.38 version on a sub domain, Add the catagories, Products, Customers manually, Copied from my present zen cart. Then once completed move to the main domain. But after adding 5 categories and 30 sub categories yesterday. This morning when I try to add another new category. When I click the save button it takes me to the homepage. Any input would be greatfully recieved as I am about to pull my hair out and throw the PC out of the window.

Hi I have narrowed it down to html.
If I use html then I cannot save (categories) or Preview products as I try to add them. No html they save OK.

Do you have categories and products mixed on the same level? That can cause problems.

Not quite sure what you mean about same level but I had only got as far as adding the categories and sub categories. It was not until I discovered I could not add categories with html that I actually tried to list a product as a test.

In the admin under catalog->categories/products, do you see only categories or categories and products listed together?

No. on the top level where I have added categories I can only add more categories.
Same applies to the sub categories until I open them, then I have the choice of both

Not to be beat I downlaoded another zen cart. Unzipped it, installed it to yet another subdomain on my site.

It might be worth contacting your host coz I had the same problem that everytime I add anything with html, it returns to my homepage. My host managed to fix it and everything is now working as they should.

Hi Berserker
Last night I uploaded yet another zen cart. BUT this time to a test server.
YES it worked.
So this morning I contacted my webhost and they said that they had a security mod running on my server which disables html.
They switched it off on my account and everything is working fine again

NOW anybody any idea as to why the customers addresses do not show up
Which is why I uploaded a new Zen cart to a subdomain in the first place.
To manually add all old customers /products.

How are you adding the customers?
