How can I show products on Cat with subCats page

Hi all,
I know it would be easier to just move all products into the same cat.
We cant do that. We need them split up how they are so we have "SaleMaker" control over these items.

If a category has subcategories or subcats with subcats even 3 or more deep, we would like to display all of those products.
Kinda like the centerboxes do. Just without the box!

Would also like to remove alpha sorter. Is this done in admin or a tpl_xxx.php?

Alpha Sort is set in the Admin on the Product Listing ...

To create a page with all the products of a given Cat tree you might look at how the Cat box does this in conjunction with the centerboxes and use a similar technique to build a page ...

wow, I was lookin in tpl_index_categories.php and tpl_index_product_list.php!
Way off.

Doesn't look like this will be a copy and paste game. Some actual code writing will be required here huh?

Guess Ill have to wait till it's a mod or something. Just looking around I have a feeling Ill break it if I try.
