Default Where is includes/templates set up?

Where exactly is includes/templates/ opened from? Is it opened from the server? From the database?

    From customize instructions:

"Open includes/templates/ and create a new folder."

Are the new folders created on the server and moved to disk for editing?

All cart files exist on your host account server.

Using FTP you can transfer a file to your PC to edit-save and FTP back to your server

Thanks, I created all the files on the host server in FTP, should the files to be edited now be moved to disk, edited with text editor and then moved back to server with FTP?

I opened the Zen Cart Folder on the server with FTP, and created the new folders, is that correct?

Yes. Make sure you create your template folder system and install it through the admin panel.

I understand that, having trouble creating a copy of any folder in FTP, there is no command for that, only for moving folders. I can download the folder to disk and move it back to FTP, only way to copy a folder. I can create new folders in FTP, but not copy or paste them. Is there a better way to copy a folder and paste in in another folder?

    Stuck here:

"Next, copy the includes/templates/template_default/css directory and place the folder and its files in your new includes/templates/CUSTOM/ folder."

Cannot copy the includes/templates/template_default/css directory, no command for that, I can only download it to disk and move it back, is there a better way to copy it and place in another folder?

You "copy" as in duplicate it, by creating a new folder on your server and uploading content to it. Everywhere in your template you see a folder called "classic" you can create a new one at that same level with your "custom" name. If your template folder is called blue, then everywhere you see classic, create a new folder called blue. Etc. So download the folders you need to "copy" from your server, make new folders/directories on your server with the new folder name, and upload files to it.

You should really have a copy of the Zen Cart distribution located on your PC.

Download the latest version and unzip it to a folder on your PC. This way you can do any of your editing on you PC before uploading to your server.
