Featured Products in Top Level Catagory

Hey, all. I've spent a while searching for this, but no luck.

Pretty simple question... Forgive my verbage if I'm speak this incorrectly... I'm trying to get my featured listings to show up in a top level catagory. In other words, I've created a catagory and placed products in it. When that catagory is selected, I'd like the featured products to show up on the bottom of the page.

A side note... If I have a sub-catagory, it's working perfectly (and on the main page). Just want it to work even if I don't have a sub-catagory.

It's set at "2".

This is an admin setting that you need to get right. As Kobra mentioned,
configuration > index listing > Show Featured Products - below Product Listing controls this on the product listing page, and it should be set to 1,2,3 or 4 to display it there. If it is set to 0 it will not display.

A setting of 2 should work... do you have any other centerboxes (new, all) with the same setting for the product listing page (they should be in sequence, not all set to 2 or something)?

The pages where it is working are controlled by the
Show Featured Products on Main Page - Category with SubCategories
setting.

My home page has the featured products in the centerbox. I've added a link to featured products in the sidebar in the categories listing (it shows up last which is fine). I did this by selecting under Layout settings, Categories Box - show featured products. However this display of featured products is different than my homepage featured products and each featured product (there are only 2) are set up differently.

Any ideas??? This is a template monster template which I now understand has many problems. I'm just trying to work around it.

This is not exactly related to TM problems - the home page display is the featured products centerbox, while the link goes to the featured products listing page. They are different displays using different information and coding.

It would be hard to tell you how to change yours, though, since TM has recoded them both for their design and standard solutions may not work.
