Default Using Postage By Weight upto 2KG then Onto Zones Shipping?

    Hi

Is it possible to have two different forms of postage depending on weight?

So, I am based in the UK and I have rates using Royal Mail for parcels upto 2kg in weight.

Once I go over 2kg in weight I use a courier which is done via zonal rates, rather than the weight of the package.

At the moment in my zencart I am using zone table rates so that I can have like 50 different zones and how much it is to send to that zone (different counties in the UK)

Is there a way I can tell zencart that if the basket weighs upto 2KG, to look at the postage by weight table, but if it goes over 2kg it would use the zones table rates which is done by county in the uk.

so it would be something like if under 2kg use per weight else per zone?

Also, this may be the best place to ask, is there a way that I can do a promotion whereby if someone spends over £50 they can have free postage?

I dont know if this is all too complex and too difficult to do

    Any info would be appreciated

    Many Thanks

    Steve

You can further customize limits to enable/disable shipping modules ...

In each module you will see the:
    $this->enabled

When true, this allows the shipping module to display and when false it makes the shipping module disappear ...

You could test the weight to know whether ot not to show the either/or shipping module(s) based on your needs ...

    Hi Ajeh

I am having a similar problem. We have a delivery matrix working fine based on weight but when the weight of products ordered reaches 30KG we need the system to stop showing the delivery price by weight and revert to Phone for a Quote.

Could you advice how this can be done?

Did anyone find a solution on how to implement a 'phone for quote' for orders over a certain weight.
