PayPal 10413 error

HOPEFULLY a step closer to a solution:

I can display my prices with tax now, and get a proper paypal checkout. The problem seems to be related with the shipping on the invoice... I guess...

In Admin - Order Total, I've disabled the shipping (ot_shipping), after which paypal checkout works. However, now the shipping costs are not displayed on the invoice/checkout, and I would like that.

MORE INFORMATION:

I did some more testing:
I've disabled the ot-shipping (as described above), and choose 1 product to purchase from my shop. When this product costs 10euro's, including VAT, everything is ok and the Paypal checkout works. When the same product is 50 euro's, Paypal checkout fails (with the error 10413). I have narrowed the amount to: Paypal works at prices <EUR22. The added shipping costs don't have an effect on the checkout procedure.
However, with the ot_shipping enabled, paypal fails with any amount.

Something I noticed, (perhaps totally unrelated) is the following. When I receive an e-mail from paypal, with the transaction details, the shipping costs and VAT are "mixed". For instance:

Prijs object: 11,90 EUR (10 eur product + 19% VAT)
BTW: 1,90 EUR (19% of 10 eur)
Totaal verwerking: €1,60 EUR (Shipping costs set to 3.5eur --> Paypal makes it 3.5 - 1.9 - 1.6. Perhaps that is why ot_shipping can't be enabled?)
Totaal: €15,40 EUR (11.9 + 3.5)

Paypal is no longer working at my site - I always get the 10413 error. I've lost several sales because of this.

None of my products that have failed have anything unique like discounts or free shipping. I've read through several of the 10413 posts, and I've changed the Product and Shipping Basis for tax to both equal Store, or Shipping, or combinations of each, with no success. Is there another step I can take? Credit card processing still works fine.

They have pointed out that it is upto zencart to sort it out.

If enough people highlight the issue they may deem it worthwhile sorting out a fix. They are aware of the issue.

So can anyone tell me how to make the sum of the parts equal the order total so the software will work or as it seems to have been going on for ages now according to th threads should I just give up and stick with protx.

Paypal is no longer working at my site

When did it start having problems? How does that compare with any changes you made to your site? and changes your hosting company made to your server?
Which version of Zen Cart are you using? Which addons do you have installed? What kinds of customizations have you made?
How many orders does this affect?
What's different about the orders where this happens vs all the orders that don't encounter the problem?
What patterns exist?
What version of PHP and MySQL are you using?
Have you turned on debug logging and recorded the logs of the transactions, good and bad? Please post a zip of all those logs.

It's very hard to guess what's causing it in your case without seeing the details of a particular transaction in order to do the math on it. Perhaps you could share those details. Products, quantities, prices, attributes, taxes (rates and amounts), shipping, all other order total values, currency used vs default currency, etc. Everything that would allow reproduction of the order ... since it has to be simulated in order to recreate the actual problem before one can know whether it's fixed or not.

Sorry for not getting back I was waiting for Paypal to get back in touch.
I am on 1.38a.

I have only just started to use Paypal and have never had a successful transaction. I now have sandbox working and can try out combinations. The only ones that work are the ones where there is no tax collected. As everything is taxed the rest get rejected.

It seems that your taxes aren't being added into the final amount.
What Order Total modules do you have enabled, and what are their sort orders? If you disabled any, why?

Are any discounts being applied to any of these orders? Or is it just the tax factor that's unique to the transactions you're having problems with?

How many tax zones have you created?

What are your settings on the ot_tax Order Total module?

If you enable the Money Order payment module and do a transaction that's supposed to include tax, does it actually charge the tax in the final total?

If you change the "Display Tax In Prices" setting in Admin->Configuration->My Store to false, do your PayPal transactions work properly?

I will look into that.

At the moment it works correctly for Protx so I assumed everything else would work.

I have tried all the things in the other threads and no luck.

I changed all the settings including basis of product tax and basis of shipping tax shipping.

The order total are as original as I don't think I changed any of them.

Most of the products are discounted, but I think my test one was not.
The tax zones are.
