The one that is in your footer looks like an addon - I would comment out the code.

Ok...augh!!... I'm starting to look to deep for stuff. ...Yes I added the Page Counter, I thought you were referring to a Zencart Statistics gathering feature.

Other.. I just ran the Database Optimize as well.

Admin > Logging: Display The Page Parse Time

If you turn that on (TRUE) at the bottom of each you will see the load time for PHP and mySQL queries. Refresh the page after loading for the first time. If either one is above 1 second then you know where potential slow down problems are.

BTW, if you have 5 images and each at 30K - 50K in size, that is going to take a long time to load. Always preferable if "total" page size is under 50K or even 100K. After that, the bigger the number the more noticeable the load time.

Like rob said try turning the display parse times ON
    this is in
    admin -> configuration -> logging

also try turning the attributes for this product off ( only for a minute )
    and see if its better

    http://www.highbeams.ca/index.php?ma...&products_id=1
    1964 RAMBLER AMBASSADOR 990

I realize that you need the attributes but this check along with the logging turned on will go along way to see if the mysql on the server is tuned and optimized,
( not the individual DB but the my.cnf )

I didn't clairify in my earlier that you need to look at the bottom of any of your Store Web pages to see it.

actually it made a big difference to that product

this is the parse time from your main page
    Parse Time: 1.266 - Number of Queries: 164 - Query Time: 0.36722084545898

I would suggest doing a quick search around these forums for dreamhost, also
    follow the recommendations here

Rob, I've got the display parse time on. It's ok, I see it now.... the text got lost in the background colour at the very bottom of the page. I was expecting it aa part of the footer (white area). Good to go here now.

Other: I contacted Dreamhost and they had me turn off some "Extra Security" which they said..
"We've found that ZenCart doesn't seem to like our Extra Security and will run much better with it off."

Merlin.. I WILL take a look at reducing the page / image size.

From my testing .. the main page with all it's images and content appears to load in about <5 seconds (ok). And now moving from page to page is about <5 seconds.

I think you hit the nail on the head..I have a large number of attributes setup for each product. (all the same) - these are grouped by Material and size. The most time appears to be when I bring up initally each product.

Bringing up the Rambler Rebel takes awhile - 30+ (steamboats).
Bringing up the Rambler Ambassador 900 - <5 seconds (no attributes)

If I then go back "Home" it appears to be fine. (Ok we are narrowing things down.. this is good, Thanks)

The reason I asked about the attributes was to determin if the server was tuned for e commerce

here is a page from a printing site
    Parse Time: 0.796 - Number of Queries: 1483 - Query Time: 0.357167899719

I cant say anything more than to have a look through the forums and read about hosting ZC on dreamhost,
