Putting packages together and affect the inventory

Hi Everyone,
I am putting together sample packs of some of our products for users to try before they place a full order.
I've made a category called "Sample Packs" and placed 3 different products into each one, e.g. Sample Pack A, Sample Pack B, and Sample Pack C.

When sample packs are ordered, I need the inventory of the products in those sample packs to be affected to reflect the change.

e.g. Sample pack A includes an apple, an orange and a pear. These items are also sold individually on my site in their appropriate categories.
When Sample Pack A is sold, I need the inventory amounts of apples, oranges and pears to all be reduced by 1.

What's the best way of achieving this type of set-up?

I am almost certain this is not possible. It is something I looked for a few months back but no luck.

I would still be interested in this, so if anyone has any ideas, then please let me know.

Bugger!

I was hoping it can be done, as it would be extremely useful for putting packages together! Imagine if at Christmas, ZenCart was able to combine 3 or 4 products into one package to promote on the front page...e.g. Wii Gold Xmas Pack or something.
Perhaps somebody might look into making a mod that allows Zenners to make "Packages" of any of their existing stock?
