Deleting Coupons

I setup a coupon for testing purposes and then deleted it. This made the coupon inactive. I then made a copy so that I could continue testing because there seems no way to reactivate the coupon. I subsequently deleted the copy. Now I have two coupons which are inactive and I am unable to either reactivate them or remove them entirely. Any help?

Coupons once deactivated cannot be reactivated via the Zen Cart Admin ...

You could edit the database table coupons and change the field coupon_active to Y

NOTE: Discount Coupons were not designed to be turned on and off as they are dated ...

What about deleting old coupons through admin?
I just checked my Discount Coupons/Inactive and they go back to 2006.
When I try to delete one it tells me:
success Coupon has been inactivated (or something like that) but will not delete them.

Do these eventually delete themselves after having so many listed?
Am I doing something wrong?
I would hate to have 10 years worth of inactive coupons in that list.

Well Ok...
seems after doing a bit more reading it is at this time impossible to delete old coupons...
although I understand the need for a trail I find it odd and a little annoying that we cannot delete old coupons from admin.

Im a tidy person and see no need to keep old, inactive coupons around for years and no Im not going into cpanel/database to manually delete them as Im not knowledgable enough to know what I would be doing.

Perhaps this could be a fix in future upgrades?
