Logo and Header Image Problems

I've been working on the installation of a new site using zencart but less as a cart and more as a free text site to capture newsletter recipients and future donation capabilities. Anyway, I've installed a fresh copy of 1.3.7 and loaded the3 mother_earth template. I modified the logo.gif and header.jpg and loaded them to the same locations where they were in the template files, but I'm getting a broken image link in the header for the logo.gif image. I eliminated the logo image since for my purposes, the header alone is fine. I searched for a solution and found references to removing the Header_alt_text info from the tpl_header.php files in the common folder. This isn't doing anything.

I've also tried to comment out the logo wrapper info in the css and it won't work either.

The odd thing is that when I check the properties of the broken link through a browser, its trying to find the image in the template_default image folder as logo.gif. If I delete, it does nothing but show a broken link.

How can I get this image removed so that the link is no longer appearing? The site is at www.boltoncelebrates.org/main.

Never mind - found the file I needed. Now I'm struggling to get the left and right columns to the right height. Any suggestions appreciated.

Well I'm still seeing the broken image link in IE now - fine in Firefox. I also can't get the two columns to align vertically - the right info box appears to be a bit lower in the column. Anyone have any insight? I've tried a few things to no avail.

I did the same thing you did and now I have a broken link, but I am not finding the page that has the link on it. Since you found it, would you please share where the broken link goes to?

Nope - tried all that. For some reason it won't work. I'm using 1.3.7 and the mother_earth template if that has any relevant impact on the resolution. The odd thing I've noticed is that for the header.php file, its defaulting to the default template file even when I create a new one specific to my template. Still in need of some help.

Path to folder for images is correct, in your header,
but no actual image is specified, hence red cross

To resolve this problem, I directed the path to the image clear.gif. Now my header looks right and no red X. I also decreased the size of the image so it is very small on top of my header, not that it would matter much.

Give it a try. I'm sure it will take care of that broken link for you.

I finally got this to work but had to create an image file with a matching background as my main header. Now I just need to fix the height of the column so they're the same height - anyone have any tips? Otherwise I'll start a new thread.
