When installing blank page after phpbb

I'm having the same problem. What is a PM? (other than 'personal message')...

What tools does your host provide? cPanel or?
Do you know the LAMP environment? phpsuexec or?

DirectAdmin panel.
Linux 2.4.20-8
Apache 1.3.29 (Unix)
MySQL 4.0.16-standard
PHP 4.3.4

Does that help? I followed the permission settings in the install procedure. Everything was green checkmarks (with the exception of one yellow exclamation mark under: PHP Output BUffer (gzip) = OFF).

Ok, I figured it out. I changed how I transfered the files to my server. I used FileZilla instead of Windows Explorer. I suspect it has something to do with ascii/binary transfer using ftp. Anyway, now the store setup screen appears. Thanks for listening!

I used dreamweaver to ftp the file up and it worked fine. I just resubmitted the phpBB form and got the config_checkup page.

I don't know what is up with filezila. I also had config files missing from includes and admin/includes and had to load them manually but those went up fine individually.
